Google launched Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar, adding near real-time visual personas to its live dialogue models for enterprise customers. The avatars handle sales support and customer service, with lip-syncing, facial expressions and background tool calls. Access requires enterprise allowlisting, and each avatar is watermarked with SynthID. Google offers preset avatars or custom ones from reference images.
