ZTE faces over $1 billion US penalty in bribery probe

ZTE may pay over $1 billion to settle US allegations of overseas bribery. The US Department of Justice launched an investigation earlier this year under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. ZTE previously paid about $2 billion for export-control violations during Trump's first term.
