Hackers hijack AOMEI servers to spread malware

Hackers compromised AOMEI update servers between April and July 2026 to secretly distribute CROSSROAD and SHINYROAD malware. The attack affected organizations in the United States, Australia, India, Singapore, Spain, and Switzerland. A 10-minute exposure window occurred on May 28, while a 6-minute window happened on July 16. AOMEI's CTO leads an internal investigation into the supply chain breach.
