Sony Music Entertainment plans to shut down Kings Road Merch, a Minneapolis warehouse that designs and ships merch for punk acts, after staff unanimously voted to unionize under Teamsters Local 970 on May 11th. Sony announced the closure hours before the first bargaining session on June 23rd, claiming the decision was months in the making.
