Using AI to identify genetic variants in tumors with DeepSomatic

Google Research released DeepSomatic, an AI tool that identifies cancer-related mutations in tumor genetic sequences. The tool uses convolutional neural networks and works across major sequencing platforms. A paper in Nature Biotechnology describes the method. DeepSomatic and its training dataset are openly available to researchers.
