Postgres 18 is now available on PlanetScale. New databases default to version 18.1, with prior versions selectable. The release includes a new asynchronous I/O system for improved query performance and built-in UUIDv7 support. PlanetScale also recently launched $5 single-node and $50 Metal databases.
