Fortinet warns that attackers are exploiting CVE-2026-104286, a critical 9.8 CVSS flaw in its FortiMail email security platform. Unauthenticated attackers can write arbitrary files via crafted HTTP requests, potentially executing code. Affected versions span 7.2.0 through 8.0.1. CISA added it to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, ordering federal agencies to patch by October 4, but some fixes remain upcoming.
