Metaplanet purchased 2,823 bitcoin for $170.7 million in Q2, bringing its total holdings to 43,000 BTC worth $2.6 billion. The Tokyo-listed firm is now the third largest publicly traded bitcoin holder. Its Bitcoin Income Generation business reported $10.85 million in Q2 revenue.
