Astera Labs has released its Leo 2 series of smart memory controllers, including the E-series and P-series for CPU-attached expansion and the new Leo-X for fabric-attached memory. The controllers support the latest PCIe Gen6 and CXL 3.2 standards, doubling bandwidth per lane. They enable data centers to reuse older DDR4 memory economically, supporting up to 768GB of DDR4 or 4TB of DDR5 per expander.
