Valve's Proton beats native Linux ports

Proton now lets most Linux gamers play Windows titles, making native ports largely obsolete. Native builds require constant maintenance and often lag behind on patches and cloud saves. Valve's translation layer routes DirectX through DXVK and VKD3D-Proton onto Vulkan, with anti-cheat support remaining the key barrier.
