Capital One builds AI on open-weight models

Capital One built a scalable multi-agent AI platform using deeply customized open-weight models instead of off-the-shelf foundation models. Early investments in data transformation and cloud adoption enabled the bank to move quickly, according to Kel Vanee, MVP of machine learning engineering.
