AMD unveiled 6th Gen EPYC server processors at Advancing AI 2026 in San Francisco, splitting the lineup into four families: 9006 SP7, 9006 SP8, 9006X SP7, and 9006 LP. The flagship 9006 SP7 reaches 256 cores and 5GHz. AMD replaced TDP with Default CPU Power, listing the 9956 at 400W versus the 9965 at 500W.
