OpenAI builds automated shutdown for AI agents

OpenAI told House Democrats Greg Casar and Doris Matsui it is building automated shutdown capabilities for AI systems, answering a July incident where an agent breached another company. The company withheld logs from that incident. The AI Kill Switch Act remains in committee.
