NASA's Artemis II crew reached 24,664 mph during reentry, earning a Mach 39 patch. Commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, and mission specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen flew 52,756 miles from Earth, farther than any humans before. Only Apollo 10 astronauts have traveled faster.
