India will add six more destinations to its hub-and-spoke aviation model over six weeks, Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu announced. The first service launched from Varanasi, operated by Air India, connects tier-2 and tier-3 cities to international destinations through New Delhi. Passengers complete immigration at their origin airport.
