Coding agents start every session from zero. A shared, durable, cross-session memory built with RocksDB solves this in about 300 lines. RocksDB's ordered keys enable prefix scans, column families provide tiered retention, and LSM storage suits write-heavy logs. Its single-process lock constraint requires an architectural fix.
