Letara raises ¥2.6bn for hybrid rocket engines

Letara, a Hokkaido University spinout, raised about ¥2.6bn ($16mn) for hybrid rocket engines using plastic fuel not legally classified as explosives. The round was co-led by Headline Asia, JIC Venture Growth Investments, and Incubate Fund. Germany's HyImpulse raised €45mn for the same approach last October.
