Mercedes-Benz begins axial flux motor production in Berlin

Mercedes-Benz began series production of axial-flux motors at its Berlin-Marienfelde plant, following the 2021 acquisition of Yasa. Seven production lines across 30,000 square meters are operational. The motors debut in the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé, which uses three units delivering up to 860 kW peak performance.
