Anthropic Launches Scion Source Control

Anthropic engineers built Scion to solve infrastructure bottlenecks caused by its agents generating code. Merged changes grew from roughly 2500 per day in May 2026 to more than 30000 per day by September. The new system allows the server to handle repository operations, resulting in coding tasks finishing 83% faster at 48% lower cost compared to previous connector setups.
