AI Outperforms Humans in Scam Trust-Building

A study by four universities found AI chatbots built trust more effectively than humans in simulated pig butchering scams. Nearly half of test subjects complied with an AI's request, versus fewer than one in five for a human. Subjects also gave the AI higher trust scores.
