A test of 252 questions across three local LLMs found that models with messy, self-reversing reasoning traces were not more likely to be wrong. The study included GLM 5.3 Flash, Qwen 3.8 Flash Next, and VibeThinker 3B, with 249 of 252 total runs producing correct answers.
