Microsoft has been granted permission by the Court of Justice of the European Union to formally intervene in a case challenging the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The company will file legal briefs supporting the European Commission and participate in oral hearings to defend the data-sharing agreement that has been in place since 2023.
