OpenAI, Blackstone, QTS and SoftBank have formed the American Infrastructure Alliance with US unions to fight state data centre moratoriums. The high eight-figure campaign targets Texas, Georgia, Ohio, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Indiana and South Carolina, aiming to agree standards with officials in 2027. An Ohio poll found 67% of voters view data centres unfavourably.
