Virgin Media O2 rolls out 2Gbit/s services over its hybrid fiber-coaxial network for the first time, reaching 3 million homes in England. The Gig2 upgrade costs £49.99 per month and required no trench-digging, building on a 2020 trial of DOCSIS 3.1 technology.
