Google Messages is testing a redesigned long-press menu and read receipts with swipe gestures. A new Chat theme offers nine bubble colors and wallpaper collections. iOS 27 will add inline replies and photo reactions to Android-iPhone RCS chats. Samsung Messages is discontinued in the US, shifting users to Google Messages.
