Huawei's Mate 80 series is expected to be the only flagship smartphone with variable aperture technology by year-end. The camera physically adjusts aperture diameter for better low-light and motion shots. Rival Chinese brands have not adopted the feature, while Apple's version may debut in the iPhone 18 series in 2026.
