Security researcher Mark Blaszczyk discovered CVE-2026-58882, an Android vulnerability allowing remote crashes via text messages. Google released a fix in October 2026 for Android 14 through 17, but devices running Android 12 and 13 remain exposed. Around 20 malicious messages can trigger a reboot loop, disrupting calls and cellular services without user interaction.
