MP Materials Gains Ahead of SpaceX IPO

MP Materials, operator of the only large-scale U.S. rare-earth mine, received a $400 million Department of Defense package in July 2025 with a $110 per kilogram price floor for neodymium and praseodymium. The SpaceX IPO scheduled for June 12 could boost MP, as SpaceX plans to launch a million satellites for AI, many using rare-earth magnets.
