A Griffith University meta-analysis of 71 studies found heavier short-form video use correlates with poorer cognition, especially attention and self-control. Compulsive use showed stronger links than duration. The research, published in Psychological Bulletin, reviewed 98,299 people and found no significant association with body image or reasoning.
