BCE cuts 1% of jobs, shifts to AI and fiber

BCE is cutting 690 positions, about one percent of its workforce, as part of a three-year plan to expand its U.S. internet business and focus on AI-related services including new data centers. The reductions stem from organizational changes and migrating customers to a fiber network.
