Japan Builds AI Factory with Nvidia Rubin Chips

Nvidia and Japanese consortium Noetra Corp are building a 140MW AI factory running 27,500 Rubin GPUs and 13,750 Vera CPUs. The FRONTia Project, commissioned by METI and NEDO, aims to produce open multimodal foundation models for robots and digital twins. Japan targets over 30% of the global AI robotics market by 2040.
