At the Linux Maintainers Summit, developers agreed to move forward with a new core MM tree for Linux 7.4. David Hildenbrand of Arm sent the inaugural pull request, explaining the cycle focused on setting up the tree and establishing the integration workflow for linux-next before merging components in cycle 7.5.
