Oracle promises MySQL governance overhaul

Oracle announced a new governance model, steering committee, and community support for MySQL. The OurSQL Foundation co-founder stated Oracle has not made binding commitments about the database's future governance. The initial steering committee includes Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Oracle.
