FPIs keep IPO bets despite equity exodus

Foreign portfolio investors invested $4.9 billion (₹45,848 crore) in Indian IPOs during the first eight months of 2026, up from $4.7 billion a year earlier. They were net sellers of $28.9 billion in secondary equities, exceeding the $19.6 billion outflow in 2025.
