BWXT Advances Project Pele Microreactor Assembly

BWXT crews installed the core barrel for Project Pele, a military microreactor, at its Lynchburg, Virginia Innovation Campus, lowering it through a roof hatch weeks ago. Director Charles Graves says the project is now in fabrication and assembly, moving the transportable reactor closer to realization for military energy use.
