Security firm Coinspect disclosed a crypto wallet flaw called Ill Bloom where weak random-number generators created predictable recovery phrases. Attackers exploited this in a coordinated May 27 sweep draining $3.1 million from 431 wallets. Over $5 million has left exposed wallets since. Hardware wallets and most mainstream software wallets are unaffected.
