Using a gaming handheld's Performance or Turbo mode on battery power causes stuttering because the CPU and GPU share a single power limit. The CPU aggressively boosts clock speeds, starving the integrated graphics of wattage. This tanks 1% low frame rates into single digits despite acceptable average FPS. A custom manual profile with a 15W to 18W cap and locked CPU and GPU clocks prevents the issue.
