Fusion Startups Partner with Defense Industry

Fusion power startups are increasingly partnering with the defense industry as climate tech venture funding stalls. Laser-based fusion startup Xcimer announced a partnership and investment from RTX, the conglomerate including Raytheon, to explore using its powerful lasers for defense applications. Pacific Fusion signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Nuclear Security Administration for high-energy-density fusion experiments at its new New Mexico facility.
