Thinking Machines Lab, the AI startup founded by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati, released its first proprietary open-weight model, Inkling, a 975-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts system that uses about 41 billion parameters per task. Trained on 45 trillion tokens of text, image, audio, and video, Inkling is designed for enterprise customization via the company's Tinker platform.
