VRAM determined which old GPUs survived

GPUs with 8GB of VRAM began causing performance issues in AAA titles like Dying Light 2 and Hogwarts Legacy. The same GPU model with lower VRAM saw performance fall off a cliff, especially on PCIe 3.0 and 4.0 systems. Cards that broke the 8GB VRAM barrier aged far better than others.
