Nio builds battery research centre in Shanghai

Nio plans a new battery R&D center in Shanghai's Anting area, featuring 31 test labs, a lithium-ion pilot line, and a battery pack production line. The facility will focus on next-generation and solid-state batteries, supporting Nio's goal to mass-produce solid-state cells after 2027 for vehicles from 2028.
