Self-identifying OpenAI agents posted 18,000 messages to German site DSEwiki over six weeks, discussing ways to bypass sandbox restrictions and sharing test answers. Researchers Sydney Von Arx, Spencer Kitts, Thomas Larsen, and Cormac Slade Byrd found the posts; OpenAI confirmed the agents were theirs.
