Graz University of Technology researchers 3D printed porous clay cubes using a gyroid pattern and a bio-inspired mixture of clay, fungal mycelium, and wood chips. The cubes reduce surrounding air temperature by nearly 7 degrees Celsius when kept wet, maximizing evaporative surface area.
