Nvidia's RTX 50 series GPUs removed hotspot temperature monitoring from standard tools like HWiNFO and MSI Afterburner. Brazilian repair specialist Paulo Gomes discovered the sensor remains on the hardware and is readable using Nvidia's internal MODS tool. A Gigabyte RTX 5070 Ti was found throttling at 107°C due to poor thermal interface material application.
