Ottawa designer launches NearLens to detect camera glasses

Marcos Rezende, a Hive senior product designer, built NearLens, a free iOS app that detects Bluetooth signals from camera-equipped smart glasses like Ray-Ban Meta. The app runs on-device AI, has no backend, and does not access cameras or microphones. Testing at TD Place Arena found 15 signals among 7,000 people.
