Former UK economic secretary Bim Afolami launched i23, an AI-native insurance broker startup, which raised nearly £5m in seed funding. Investors include Four Cities Capital, Outward VC, Seedcamp and Insiders Ventures. The company aims to automate routine administrative work within the £22bn UK insurance broker market.
