India IT Ministry Confirms Instagram Takedown

Since September 9, 2026, journalist Ila Kazmi's Instagram account has been unavailable in India. On September 15, officials replied that the account is blocked under section 79(3)(b) of the IT Act, 2000, asking her to take up the matter with the concerned State department.
