PlanetScale replaced archaic password rules with entropy-based strength calculation for its signup form. A password's strength is defined by how many attempts a computer needs to guess it. Two passwords with ~61 bits of entropy, like cTzk9*R6-uf9 and mikemikemikemikem, are both secure despite the latter failing typical rules.
