SvelteKit 3.0's experimental remote functions bring type-safe RPCs into web components, letting them fetch server data without page refreshes. The feature, available since 2.27, becomes equal to load functions in v3. A benchmark found SvelteKit's SSR payload three times smaller than Next.js.
