Developer Kuber Mehta used Anthropic's Claude Code to create a macOS driver for the HP Laser 1008a, a rebadged Samsung SPL3 printer with no native Mac support. The hp-laser-1008a-macos project wraps HP's rastertospl codec in a Linux container, enabling printing from Apple Silicon Macs via USB.
